Experience
I began tutoring while I was still in high school, and then as a volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club when I was working on my bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Richmond. My passion for teaching grew, as a teaching assistant in Biology at Drexel University, where I received my master's degree in Biology as well as being nominated by my students as teaching assistant of the year. I received a PhD from Thomas Jefferson University, in the Microbiology and Immunology program, and I still love helping others to learn.I believe that each person has a different way of learning, and that by capitalizing on each student's strengths and special abilities, I can help them to be successful and confident in the subjects that I teach. These include Math and Algebra at several levels, Biology, Science, Microbiology, Anatomy, General Chemistry, and other sciences, in addition to Essay Editing, English College Essays, Writing, Reading, Phonics, and Literature.Science and Math concepts are often hard to grasp, and that is why I like to break them down to give my students different ways to learn them. This provides a solid foundation from which to grow their knowledge and master the subjects.
